If you like exotic plants, you just came to the right place. Canarius offers the hard-to-find exotic plants which are seldom available in garden centres. Our shop has natural species as well as rare hybrids. We offer exotic plants from the Canary Islands.

World deserts and dry areas are home to the most interesting plants. Canarius offers an increasing selection of succulent plants of maximum quality, because they are grown outdoors, under the full sun of the Canary Islands.
Succulents or "fat plants" are water-retaining species, adapted to dry conditions. They store succum (juice, water) in their leaves, stems or roots, and often show a stout and fleshy appearance.
Exotic plants are species from other parts of the world, and they usually have ornamental qualities: a lush foliage, colorful flowers, unusual shapes... Here you can find a great variety of exotic plants: from Bromeliads and Heliconias, to pamls and houseplants.
Exotic plants do not have a particular use. Collectors buy this kind of plants for their rarity, for indoor or outdoor decoration, depending on their features.

Atro-viridis means dark-green in Latin: Leaves have wide leaflets and a red margin. They are also all-red below and the petiole has red blotches. The inflorescence is a beauty too.
A medium sized, rarely available species from Western and Central Africa, with large leaves, to 1,2 m tall, with narrow blades, often >50 cm in diameter.
This species stands out for the beauty of its wide inflorecence, which is "chocolate coloured", with changing hints of purple, reds and greens.
This hard to find Amorpho has a different leaf with tapering leaf tips and spectacular prominent midribs (seen from below). Marvelous inflorescence with a red-to-blue spadix coming out of a cream white spathe.
Amorphophallus polyanthus is found in one location in NE Thailand, where it grows in deep shade at the base of rocky outcrops. It is low-growing, with rounded-rhombic leaflets, 3-10 cm long, and nice inflorescences with short spathes with purple tones.

This is one of the most ornamental species in the genus Ananas. Lucidus means glossy in Latin and so its leaves are long, glossy and spineless, red in colour to golden.maroon.

Majestic large bromeliad with fabulous colours. During the blooming months, the whole plant turns pink and a fuzzy white spike grows up to 70 cm tall.
Branched plant. It's probably a new species related to Angolluma sprengeri.
