World deserts and dry areas are home to the most interesting plants. Canarius offers an increasing selection of succulent plants of maximum quality, because they are grown outdoors, under the full sun of the Canary Islands.
Succulents or "fat plants" are water-retaining species, adapted to dry conditions. They store succum (juice, water) in their leaves, stems or roots, and often show a stout and fleshy appearance.
Exotic plants are species from other parts of the world, and they usually have ornamental qualities: a lush foliage, colorful flowers, unusual shapes... Here you can find a great variety of exotic plants: from Bromeliads and Heliconias, to pamls and houseplants.
Exotic plants do not have a particular use. Collectors buy this kind of plants for their rarity, for indoor or outdoor decoration, depending on their features.

Vranja' is possibly the best known cultivar of Quince and it has gained the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit.
The stoutest of its genus, this robust "mesemb" has large finger-like leaves pointing out and very large white-yellow flowers in Spring, about 5 cm in diameter.

One flowering-sized bulb. This nice Cyrtanhus is one of the easiest to grow, while it is still far from being common in cultivation. It is native to moist grassland or rocky streambanks in the Eastern Cape and KwaZulu-Natal and takes short, light frosts. It can bloom once or twice a year, in the warmer months.

Oh-oh! This is a truly well-done cross of two elegant and evergreeen wild South African species: One is the coral-red, freely blooming C.elatus, and the other is the more elusive C.obliquus with hanging blooms and a bold habit. All the best was inherited and now we have this good garden or pot subject.
Pale green leaves open up in tufts of fluffy fibres. A robust Dasylirion from high altitude desert regions in central Mexico that develops a short trunk, often holding multiple crowns of pale green leaves with frayed leaf tips. Native to dry areas of Oaxaca and Puebla, in Mexico.

This species is typically smaller than other Dasylirions, with small crowns and trunks usually less than 0,5 m. Leaves are long, reaching 1–2m.
Epiphytic fern from the Canary Islands, which is able to grow on tree trunks, rockeries or in hanging pots.
Another interesting Delonix from Madagascar. It is very adaptable and can attain anything from 3 to 12 m in height. Flowers lack petals but they are very beautiful, with lots of golden stamens shown when the tree is still leafless. We grew some plants in 35 cm pots and they started blooming beautifully after about 5 years, when they were just 1.5 m tall.
This is the dream tree of the tropics, often considered the most beautiful of all flowering trees. Commonly called Royal Poinciana or Flamboyant. Its showy red flowers are the essence of the tropics.
