Self-heading "philodendron" with supreme glossy foliage. Leaves have an unusual architecture, forming a palmate-like leaf, tipically reminiscent of Schefflera actinophylla., but in this case each leaf is made out of two "spirals". Trunks are erect, but they grow slow and naturally short, so the whole plant will stay in its place for years. This plant has recently changed its name, as it was previously called Philodendron goeldii, until 2018. Then, the genus Thaumatophyllum appeared in the world of botany, and some of the toughest Philodendron species were put in there.

Thaumatophyllum spruceanum is distributed in Northern South America, in different types of rainforests. It can be found as terrestrial, climber or epiphyte.
This species is so beautiful that it caught the attention of the industry quite a few times and got to the markets with fancy names like ' 'Philoscheff',  'Fun Bun' or 'Crown of Nero'.

The plants we offer are so variable in size, but be sure: our aroids are robust well-rooted plants ... we do not sell freshly rooted cuttings with 1,2 or 3 leaves!
