This low growing, small leaved crassula is a mat forming shrublet, particularly useful as a ground cover. If grown in full sun the leaves may turn intense green. Crassula spathulata naturally grows on rocky outcrops along forest margins. It is native to South Africa in the Cape area and north into KwaZulu-Natal. It is also very attractive in baskets, where it hangs over the edges.
