Bunchosia argentea is a joy for collectors of fruit trees because it is naturally small and suitable to pot colture. With some patience and a bit of pruning, it can give fruits when just 2 m tall even less. It is easy to grow and also somehow ornamental, especially when in fruit, when it displays yellow-orange-red fruits all together in bunches.

In the wild, it is native to Central America to Western Brazil and it reaches 4-15 m tall. Some specimes growing by rivers are said to attain up to 30 m in height.
