Billbergia macrocalyx is a tall tube-like billbergia, up to 1 m tall. Each rosette has few pale green leaves with beautiful white spots. They are erect stiff and thick, elegantly arching.

It blooms in fall with spectacular hanging inflorescences. In the Canary Islands it blooms in November, whith the first autumn rains.

It is easy to grow, tolerates low light and can grow and bloom in indoor conditions. It does not like frost.

We offer one large rooted pup of Billbergia macrocalyx, of 35-60 cm, able to flower in one year.
