Chamaedorea metallica is easy to grow and takes light short frosts so it can be grown outdoors in protected spots of the Mediterranean. It is also a good house plant.

These are long lived, slow growing plants that will need 20 years to grow 1 m of trunk. Group of 3-4 plants sown in the same pot, grown in a 22 cm pot.
