This bromeliad is sadly extinct in the wild. It is a mid-sized compact rosette of glossy green leaves with some orange colour. It produces a rather large blue-greem inflorescence.

This bromeliad is sadly extinct in the wild. It is a mid-sized compact rosette of glossy green leaves with some orange colour. It produces a rather large blue-greem inflorescence. Bromelia serrata is, or was, endemic to the island of Martinica, in the French Caribbean but it is no longer found in habitat and only survives in cultivation.
