Medium sized clumping bromeliad, with delicate colours, native to Brazil. Neoregelia burlemarxii has 30-40 cm (12-16") large rosettes large rosettes of wide, floppy leaves, speckled with violet-pink and green. Juveniles show subtle colours but they turns very bright purple when in bloom.

It is easy to grow and does best in bright shade.
