One of the smallest and finest mesembs. Neohenricia resembles a miniature titanopsis with the typical warty leaf tips, but it creeps in sand and forms a carpet. It comes from a wide area with chiefly winter rainfall but in cultivation it is evergrowing and can be watered sparingly at any time of the year. Neohenricia is the perfect ground cover for succulent bonsais or caudex plants. It blooms at night with small but fascinating purple scented flowers. It works both under the winter growing bonsais such as Tylecodon, and under the summer-growing Operculicarya plants. We often mix neohenricias with other low growing mesembs such as Stomatium, to achive a diversity of carpet plants.
