Ceropegia ampliata is a rare succulent twiner from South Africa. Plants occasionally branch and can grow up to 2 m and more in length. New roots form at the nodes where the stem touches the soil surface. It produces groups of 2-4 large, exotic, unusual flowers, opening one after the other. These are tube-shaped, about 6 cm long, pale green to white with brilliant green lobes.
