Son pequeños arboles tropicales, nativos del Caribe, América central y Norte de América del Sur. Las plumerias son famosas por sus hermosas flores y crecen en una amplia gama de colores, como el blanco, amarillo y rosa, como podemos ver en la imagen. Todas ellas producen un maravilloso perfume.
Las plumerias son fáciles de cultivar, independientemente de la región donde viva. Son árboles pequeños, de 2 a 10 m de altura, pero crecerán y florecerán en macetas relativamente pequeñas durante décadas. Mueren con las heladas, pero en otoño pierden las hojas y descansan hasta finales de abril, por lo que son fáciles de invernar en interiores.
Cultivamos plantas madre fuertes en nuestros campos para producir los mejores esquejes, apicales y gruesos. Luego los enraizamos durante casi un año antes de vender la planta. Nuestras plumerias pueden florecer en menos de un año, si se cuidan adecuadamente.
Seeds collected from a collection of selected hawaiian hybrids. They were open-pollinated and we mixed the seeds.
