Alcuni, come l'Aloe vera crescono in condizioni di sole ed asciutto, e può vivere in una piccola pentola. Alcuni altri diventeranno grandi alberi e hanno bisogno di spazio e tempo per crescere. Ricordarsi di fare attenzione, non tutte queste piante sono commestibili, alcuni sono tossici se mangiato o applicato alla pelle.
