Passiflora loefgrenii is one of the most beautiful passion flowers in cultivation It is native to the state of São Paulo, in brazil and tolerates cool temperatures. It bears 10 cm large flowers, hanging from long stalks which turn back up at the end . Purple reflexed petals and sepals, topped by a dense crown of lavender-blue filaments. The fruit is sweet and edible, but it has a mild scent of garlic, therefore it is called the "Garlic Passion Flower".
