Rostrata is the most classic pendent heliconia, native to Tropical America, in Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru. This is an average-sized clone. It reaches 1,5-2,2 m in height. It can be grown in large pots. Mature plants flower in July-October. Inflorescences last a long time and make excellent cut flowers. Sensitive to frost.
