Philodendron radiatum is a slow climber or creeper, with striking, deeply sinuate leaves. It grows wild in a wide area ranging from Chiapas to Peru. It does well in the house and conservatory, but it is also one of the hardiest Philodendron to drought, wind and heat.
Unusual and attractive climbing philodendron. Leaves are glossy and petioles are coated by brightly-coloured bristle-like scales ("squamae" in Latin). These bristles are soft and not spiny and they turn colour as they age from red to green.

Piper auritum is an aromatic shrub with large heart-shaped, velvety leaves, which grows in Central America. The common name "hoja santa" means "sacred leaf" in Spanish because it has many uses in Mexican cuisine and also as a medicinal plant.
