This fragrant "copal" is a shrub to small tree, native to different dry areas of Mexico. It is quite ornamental with cute glossy leaves and white thick stems. Bursera fagaroides becomes a perfect bonsai subject if we keep it in pots and it builds a crown with a fascinating shape. It is easy to grow and sheds its leaves in the colder, drier months.

Our plants are now larger than in the pictures, taken in une 2019. So they are at least 3 years old from seed and are very well grown, with thick, bending, stems..
