Succulents or "fat plants" are water-retaining species, adapted to dry conditions. They store succum (juice, water) in their leaves, stems or roots, and often show a stout and fleshy appearance.

This beautiful Philodendron has long and narrow leaves and shows an impressive transition from the juvenile stage to the adult. Young plants , like the one we ship, have very narrow leaves wth a fantastic purple underleaf.

Philodendron radiatum is a slow climber or creeper, with striking, deeply sinuate leaves. It grows wild in a wide area ranging from Chiapas to Peru. It does well in the house and conservatory, but it is also one of the hardiest Philodendron to drought, wind and heat.
Unusual and attractive climbing philodendron. Leaves are glossy and petioles are coated by brightly-coloured bristle-like scales ("squamae" in Latin). These bristles are soft and not spiny and they turn colour as they age from red to green.

This is a wow-foliage ornamental with wavy glossy leaves. One meter long wavy leaves are easy to attain in this species which branches and climbs a bit more than P. giganteum and takes harsher conditions with more sun, wind and drought.
