A medium sized, rarely available species from Western and Central Africa, with large leaves, to 1,2 m tall, with narrow blades, often >50 cm in diameter.
This honey stands out for its intense yellow color and crystallized texture. The aroma is fruity and vivid with vegetal notes. Colour is evidently yellow, very light, and so remains when crystallises.Aroma is mild, fruity and vegetal, with occasional notes of sulfur. It is suitable to accompany cheeses, desserts and tea or spread on bread to eat.
This flowering bulb native to South Africa grows into a large clump of elegant flat wide leaves, up to 1 m long. Bulbs are very large, up to 20 cm in diameter and the mostly stay above soil.
