Small gem from South Africa, growing with a short and "fat" caudex-stem, often unbranched, resembling a dry pinecone. Leaves are produced during the warmer months, forming an ornamental rosette atop this pinecone. Flowers are abundantly produced during the warmer months, giving more life to this Euphorbia that will go back to its brownish look during winter..This is an old classic for succulent collectors, but still everybody needs a new one. The obese euphorbia is native to the Cape Province of South Africa. It is very elegant and very resistant to neglect. They live for many years at a very slow pace. Keep away from frost and hail in winter water only when sun is available. Our plants are 3 years old and 4-5 cm diameter.
