This beautiful Cyrtanthus is rewarding in cultivation. It is an evergreen South African bulb, which slowly forms clumps and fills up its pot. It is easy to grow and bloom. The red flowers are produced in the heat of mid-summer and each mature bulb usually produces two flowering stems. Our plant belong to the subspecies sanguineus, which is distributed from the Eastern Cape to KwaZulu-Natal.
