We have tried LOTS of aroids outdoors and this is one of the toughest of all birdnest anthuriums. It thrives outdoors here in the subtropics and takes harsh condistions. Leaves are rather stiff and flat, typically dull, with one prominent midrib. If shade and shelter are given, they can reach 1,30 m or so. Anthurium coriaceum gows wild S-SE brazil, from Spirito Santo to Santa Catlina, and it is able to take dry, windy conditions and any subtropical winter. It is a beauty! As always, we sell heavy rooted plants, not weak and tender "starters" that are just out of the propagator.
