The ‘red atemoya’ is not from Israel. Its from Boynton Beach, Florida. This hybrid was created by Har Mahdeem while employed at Zills High Performance Plants in the 1980′s. It is also not an atemoya but is a temoylata. Its name is “47-18″ which indicates the rows it was in. “47-18″ = ‘Gefner’ atemoya x A. reticulata var. ‘San Pablo’).
