This avocado dip is typical in Venezuelan cooking. The "guasacaca" can be used in all types of meals, mainly with "arepas", potatoes, scalded "gofio" with stock, meat, fish, sandwiches, etc. This traditional guasacaca contains: avocado, vegetal oil, green pepper, garlic, parsley, cumin, coriander, wine vinegar and salt. This dip has been awarded with the first prize of Canarian gastronomy in 2000. |
