Imposing palm from Hispaniola and E Cuba. Large thick trunk,up to 30 m tall, with dark green leathery costapalmate leaves. The part of the leaf surrounding the "costa" is often bright yellow. Sabal dominguensis is an easy growing tropical palm that can take moderate freezes. It grows fast in sunny hot climate with adequate moisture. The size of this plant is: h= 60-80 cm - Cont. 20 cm. |
