This is the most southerly growing palm in the world. The Chatham Islands are located off the East coast of New Zealand, at 44' South. It produces a robust trunk and wide crown and is much faster and easier than the typical form. It is commercially named "Rhopalostylis sapida 'Oceana' " and some botanists believe it should be described as a separate species. The palm you are buying is h= 20-40 cm - Cont. 12 cm. |
