Popular clumping palm in tropical and suptropical countries. Ptychosperma macarthurii is native to NE Australia and New Guinea. The MacArthur Palm produces a dense cluster of slender cane-like trunks, each with a small crown of light green, pinnate leaves. It is ideally suited for the smaller garden, and will also do well as a potted plant indoors if it gets bright light. It does better in warm conditions but it can live outdoors in warmer Mediterranean countries if given some protection. The size of this plant is: h= 40-60 cm - Cont. 12 cm. |
