This is a spectacular tropical-looking palm with white crown shafts, native to the cooler island of Lord Howe. Hedyscepe is a monotypic genus with only one species. It is a solitary palm with smooth, ringed trunk, holding a crown of elegantly arching leaves. Adult specimens show a silvery-white crownshaft. It takes light frosts. The size of this plant is: Cont. 14x20 cm. |
