Elegant feather-leaved palm with regularly spaced segments and reddish rachis. This is a high-elevation Dypsis described in 1995 resistant to light frosts. It is native to the Central plateau in Madagascar at 1300-1500 m (4200-4900 ft), and few plants currently survive in the wild. The trunk is smooth, ringed, to about 7 m (22 ft) , with a silvery crownshaft and a arching, V-shaped leaves with regularly spaced segments drooping at the tip. The size of this plant is: h= 10-20 cm - Cont. 12 cm. |
