This blue variety of the Mediterranean Fan Palm grows in the Atlas mountains of Morocco, up to 1.700 m (5600 ft) elevation. Its leaves are coated with a bright white/blue wax, because palms grow in harsh conditions of cold, heat, sun and drought. C. humilis var. cerifera is a small clumping palm, ideal for pot colture in sunny location. Young plants have green leaves, until they get in their 3-4 th year. The size of this plant is: h= 20-40 cm - Cont. 12 cm. |
