This Beccariophoenix palm from Eastern Madagascar is the one with "windows" in the juvenile leaves. It is a robust, tough-leaved palm. Young plants have large leaves with segments joining and dividing repeatedly, forming "windows" in the blade. Adults resemble coconut palms (Cocos nucifera) in size and habit. It is considered a a separate species waiting for a new name, different from Beccariophoenix madagascariensis. The size of this plant is h= 40-60 cm tall - Container (Cont.): 20 cm |
