Maybe the best of all Cycads. It is a tall Cycad native to Subtropical Australia. It is beautiful in all its parts. Leaves are glossy, elegant, spineless, of a rich dark green. Cones are huge and fascinating. It is the only cycad that will thrive indoors as a house plant. It needs drained moist soils and some shade. Lepidozamia peroffskiana takes light frosts and grows very well in the warmer Mediterranean. It is a slow species and we offer seven years old plants, grown in 25 cm pots. The size of this plant is: h= 60-90 cm. 7 years old. We ship it bare-rooted in perlite, because they are currently grown in 25 cm pots. These pots are too heavy and they would easily damage other plants in the box if the parcel is mishandled. This cycad does not mind being bare rooted and will surely grow well in the new pot. Please provide a free-draining soil, rich in sand or other draining materials. |
