Cute small Cycas with flat leaves, native to Central Thailand and Vietnam. The short stems show a bulbous base, often becoming broad and plate-like in older individuals. Cycas siamensis has flat leaves with a very short petiole, densely brown-tomentose, with some tomentum persisting in older leaves. Plants vary in colour from white through yellow, orange to brown, depending on the colour of the hairs on the leaves. It is short-stemmed and reaches reproductive age quite soon. It makes a perfect potted plant. The size of this plant is: h= 15-25 cm. 3 years old. Pot size is: 14x20 cm. |
