Native to the subtropical island of Hainan, China. Cycas hainanensis is found in the rainforests of the wetter eastern parts of the island, from about sea level to 1200 m (3600 ft). This species survives mainly in cultivation as the native populations are very restricted. The size of this plant is: 30-40 cm tall, base 4 cm, pot 14 x 20 cm, Age 2-3 years |
