Elegant ceratozamia with erect leaves and grouped leaflets. It is the hardiest in the genus as it can take hard frosts. Stems are short, often subterranean, with erect leaves 1-2 m long. Leaf segments are elegantly grouped or clustered. Ceratozamia hildae grows in deciduous cloud forests in SE Mexico, at about 1000m (3000ft) elevation. It is easy and fast in cultivation, while it is highly endangered in habitat and protected with CITES. Our plants do have legal permits because seeds were collected from documented cultivated plants! We offer a 3 years old plant, raised locally from seed. |
