Leaves are very wide and thick, with unreal colours of greys, greens, browns and purples. It will develop the typical concentrical markings. Neoregelia concentrica is an exotic beauty from Brazil, it is very easy to grow. To produce the concentrical markings it needs some direct sun on the rosette. This bromeliad likes full sun, except in the hottest months, where it enjoys 40% shade or morning sun, to prevent sunburn. It can take frosts of about -5 C (23 F), but it is better kept above 6 C, for healthy, continuous growth. This bromeliad species is a classic of all times, hardly surpassed by any hybrid. |
