Large landscaping bromeliad, about 1 m tall, with wide hard leaves and spectacular flowering. Leaves turns green to purple or orange-yellow according to light and temperature. Aechmea aquilega is hardy to short frosts of -3 C (26 F). with wide, hard leaves and tall, long- lasting orange inflorescence. Leaves are wide and their colour turns from green to purple or orange-yellow according to light and temperature. |
