One of the best dwarf variegated agaves. This white-bordered form of Agave parryi is especially attractive. It has a small, compact, rosette of olive-green leaves with bold white margins and brown-black spines. This species has two distinct stages, the juvenile stage which includes the plant offered by Canaris which is flat growing and the adult stage has more erect leaves with stronger teeth and a longer spine tip. It is a superb plant and will hardly exceed 15 cm in diameter so it is ideal for growing in containers. This is the compact, smaller form of Agave parryi that was formerly called Agave patonii. This striped cultivar we offer is known in Japan as 'Merico Nishiki'. The size of this plant is: 10-12 cm |
