NOTICE: Dear customers, our webshop is currently closed, since we suspended the packing and shipping activity last summer. The nurseries are still working and producing new plants for the market. We are now making changes in our packing centre and we will hopefully restart in Spring 2012. Join us in Facebook in order to keep in touch.
Shipping to Europe |
|
This is a bit of information about how we ship. Contact us if you have any questions. We can reply in English and Spanish.
WE SHIP TO ANYWHERE IN EUROPESo far we shipped to Austria, Czech Rep., France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Portugal, Spain and United Kingdom. We are lucky because any mail from the Canaries travels as airmail, so the box often travels during just 3-5 days and skips any spell of cold or heat.
SHIPPING COSTWe will only charge the shipping rate with no additional cost. Handling and packing charges are included in the price of the products. The postage fee for your order will automatically be calculated by the website when you place the order. This is because the system knows the weight of all the products in the shop. You can chose among different shipping rates. Our postal service works smoothly and we often suggest to chose the cheapest option. The more you buy, the less it costs. It is comparatively more expensive to ship smaller orders. Large orders will be split in two or more boxes. An example of the basic shipping cost* to EUROPE:
ABOVE 2kg: 20,40€ (fix price) + 2,35€ per kilogram - 3 kg = 27,54€ -10 kg=43,99€
HOW HEAVY ARE THE PRODUCTS I WISH TO PURCHASE?Heavy products make shipment more expensive. Chase the lighter products if you want to reduce shipping costs. PLANTS: Bare root plants are very light and will give very cheap shipping costs: most succulent plants are offered bare-rooted. Bromeliads are sent as pups. For example, a Bromeliad pup or a bare root Agave is 200-300 grams, a 12 cm pot palm weights about 1,1 kg, a 20 cm pot palm or cycad is about 4kg. Our larger fruit trees weight about 3,5 kg. In the future we wish to produce smaller sizes for an easier and cheaper shipment. FOODS: Food weight depends much on the way it is packed. Glass jars and bottles are surely heavy, while foods packed in cardboard boxes or aluminium cans are lighter and cheaper to ship.
PACKING AND SHIPPINGOnce your order is confirmed, we select and prepare the items you ordered. They are checked, cleaned and labelled carefully. The package will usually be shipped on the very start of the following week in order to ensure a fast delivery with no week-ends between. Once the parcel is gone, we will give you the tracking number, so you can follow the parcel on the website of the postal service. HOW MUCH TIME WILL IT TAKE TO REACH MY HOME?You will receive your purchase within 5-14 days, but this is because we need some extra days to prepare and ship the box. Our postal service is fast. Any mail from the Canaries travels as airmail, so the box often travels during just 3-5 days and skips any spells of cold or heat. Packets usually take 3-4 days to reach the main cities of Europe, and up to 10 days to reach the provinces. |
