Uncommon in cultivation. It is a relatively wide-ranging Commiphora, found in central-eastern parts of Kenya, central and southern Somalia and Sidamo in Ethiopia. It is near-threatened because of agricultural expansion in the region. It builds a thick caudex with widely spaced branches and orange-yellow peeling bark. It is naturally short and the final height ranges at 1-3 m. It is suitable for long-term pot colture.

We offer a rooted and branched plant, grown in an 11 cm pot. Container size will give you an idea, but succulent plants are often sent bare root. These plants are very tolerant of bare-rooting.
