Large 3 years old plant - The African Baobab is a beautiful symbolic tree, able to attain a gigantic size. It is easy to cultivate in pots, as long as it is kept above 8 C and kept dry in winter, when leafless. Leaves are dark green, glossy and palmate. Flowers are an absolute beauty. The fruit is edible.
1-2 year old seedling, H:40-70 cm. This is one of the few species of Delonix that grows as a "bottle-tree" , like a baobab. It is native to the dry South of Madagascar, where it grows together with other succulent plants and caudiciforms. Adult "bottle-trees" are very beautiful when they get covered of plenty of flowers.
Another interesting Delonix from Madagascar. It is very adaptable and can attain anything from 3 to 12 m in height. Flowers lack petals but they are very beautiful, with lots of golden stamens shown when the tree is still leafless. We grew some plants in 35 cm pots and they started blooming beautifully after about 5 years, when they were just 1.5 m tall.
This usual turtle-shaped caudex is a winter-growing deciduous climber. It is a slow and long-lived plant.
Caudex-forming deciduous Pelargonium with elegant foliage and more-than-nice white flower heads. It is unique, as it is genetically and geographycally isolated from the rest of the genus. It is the only species endemic to the small Island of St. Helena, in the Atlantic Ocean, where the local name is "Old father lives forever"
